Presidential Run

According to an MSNBC news story Al Sharpton is considering a run for the US Presidency. He is quoted in the article as saying “I don’t hear any reason not to.” Let’s help him out with that one.

Al Sharpton, you should not run for President because:

  1. You are a race-pimp and we are not talking about a convenient photo-op. Heading the executive branch is a serious job which demands real action instead of just bitching in the media.
  2. Church leaders believe in all of that superstitious religious shit. It’s bad enough to have Dubya appeasing the religious element from time to time just to keep them quiet. I think you actually believe in that stuff and putting someone like you in charge is just damn scary.
  3. Your hair. Damn.
  4. You’re a pretender to the throne as leader. Most black people don’t even identify with you, much less the general public. You’re not even as popular as the X hats that came out at the time that Spike Lee released the Malcolm X movie. Go hawk your wares elsewhere.

I’d rather have Brittney Spears for President than this guy. And I’m not even touching on his collectivist, blame-society, herd responsibility socialist ideas, the kind which has Hugo Chavez communizing Venezuela at a lightening fast clip for the good of “the people” (as if the people aren’t made up of individuals). What does everyone else think?

No no no… he isn’t saying that he should be president, he said he should go on a presidential campaign. And I wholeheartedly agree. I don’t expect to get a competent chief executive anymore, so I want to at least be entertained by the campaigns, and the crazier the better.

  2. Isn’t Al Sharpton a 33rd degree Mason (like Jesse Jackson)? ‘MUST be. Otherwise, they just don’t let niggas in politics.

  3. mexi says:

I guess he would be entertaining. John Edwards hasn’t been fun to watch since he was on Three’s Company.

  4. HMT says:

    he will be very entertaining.

people should truly embrace those whom they believe they fundamentally disagree. If anything, these people provide a context upon which you realize your own truth to an even stronger degree.

  5. mexi says:

Plus embracing makes it easier to asphyxiate them!

  6. It’s ALL a dog and pony show; a very well scripted smoke-and-mirrors presentation. Sharpton’s role is exactly as he plays it. Don’t get me wrong. Sharpton is a goofball. That’s why he is assigned this roll.

  7. I like the HMT quote “people should truly embrace those whom they believe they fundamentally disagree. If anything, these people provide a context upon which you realize your own truth to an even stronger degree.” right on point….
