Monday Musings. . .

My cousin Shelly died this weekend. Weak. . . .. Kind of reminds you of the fragility of human existence and that we’re all just temps here on this earth. This blog is dedicated to her. And I think if Shelly were with us today, she would want me to blog about pool!

I was in good form on Saturday night. I played the highest ranked Lansing BCA player three times, the first time getting down to one ball left on the table. The one I left was a cue ball kick off the rail into two and it bobbled in the corner but didn’t go in. The second game I broke and nothing dropped and Ramiro ran them all out without me getting a single turn at the table. Dammit! Spent $1.25 just to break. That’s what you get for breaking the table wide open against a player.

The third game I got a shot at the table and I made a shot, then another and another. I played like a Grand Champion and actually won! The final shot on the 8 was almost a 90 degree cut shot which I made to my own shock and amazement. It was about time, as he had been on the table for about 12 games straight.

I made a two rail kick in my next game which shows that my game has really stepped up. Ramiro tried to ask for my autograph when I left but I was like naaaah (remarks in italics are filthy lies). I don’t play this game for the glory. It is to answer the call of the competetive spirit. Obey Thy Thirst, Sprite, auuuu-ight?

When I closed out of here, I had a popup window under it. I thought, “shit, somehow there is something sending ads out on my site! What did Mexi put in his template?” The I remembered that I had clicked through to the article, and I started thinking, “If I could catch that asshole who hit her, I would beat the hell out of him for causing me to think there were popups on my site.”

I figure I could probably multiply that by a thousand and get to where you are.

Yes. We are definitely ticked off. She’s one of the half Mexican half Hillbilly cousins I told you about. We always tormented them when they came for visits when we were kids. We shot spitballs at them, my brother bound one when she was asleep haha! But making one of them dead is going too far. And it’s the youngest girl. This is beyond sucking. And now I have to go to a funeral. . . . and plus you had to deal with a popup. It just sucks all the way around.

Sorry to hear about your cousin. I hope they catch the guy.

Sorry to hear of your loss. It will just be a matter of time before they find the ah that did it.

Strange how death is a reminder of how fragile life is. KInd of like a best friend that constantly reminds you to wake up and go to work on time. Death just reminds you to live.
